With more than 10,000 structures involved in these areas, the aim is to enable people to live at home for as long as possible. However, the fragmentation of services, the complexity of procedures and the lack of coordination have been major challenges. It was against this backdrop that the reform of \u2018independent living services\u2019 was born.<\/p>\n<h2>A reform born of observation<\/h2>\n<p>In France, home help and care are provided by a multitude of structures. This means that the services on offer are too fragmented. This makes it difficult for users to understand what is available on a day-to-day basis. The procedures for accessing these services are often complex. This situation also hampers the coordination of interventions in people's homes, limiting the effectiveness of services.<\/p>\n<h2>What are Services Autonomie?<\/h2>\n<p>Services Autonomie (SAD) are emerging as a response to these challenges. They replace the Home help and support services (SAAD), theHome nursing services (SSIAD) and theMulti-purpose home help and care services (SPASAD). The aim is to create a unified structure. This will simplify access to services and improve the coordination of interventions.<\/p>\n<h2>The missions of SAD<\/h2>\n<p>The mission of the SADs is to facilitate coordination between assistance and care structures. In this way, they offer a more comprehensive response to people's needs. This includes prevention, identifying frailties, supporting carers and detecting and combating abuse. By simplifying day-to-day procedures, the SADs become the single point of contact responsible for organizing the response to users\u2019 needs for help and care. Greater coordination between professionals is designed to improve the overall quality of support.<\/p>\n<h2>Key points of the Decree of 13 July 2023<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000047837913\">The decree of 13 july 2023<\/a> is a major step in the implementation of this reform. It lays the legal and organizational foundations for the creation and operation of DCFs. The main points addressed include the definition of missions, the coordination of professionals, and the simplification of administrative procedures for users.<\/p>\n<h2>Towards a Digital Future with the Segur for Digital Health<\/h2>\n<p>This reform is part of a wider drive to modernise France's healthcare system. The S\u00e9gur du Num\u00e9rique en Sant\u00e9, launched at the same time, paves the way for the integration of digital technologies into autonomy services. This will enable better data management, more effective coordination and greater personalisation of services, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of the quality of care.<br \/>\nIn conclusion, the reform of independent living services represents a major step forward in meeting the need for home help and care in France.
